Next year, Chaos Walking will come to the cinema. Already heard of it? If not, you do not stand there alone, because the project has barely touched the mark. No trailer, no poster, nothing. Anyone who has it on screen, has probably read the Youth Book Trilogy by Patrick Ness , the author of Seven Minutes After Midnight. The film was the first volume of his novel series, The Knife of Never Letting Go (German New World 1: The Flight), as a template. What makes Chaos Walking unique is firstly its special situation: We are located on a newly settled distant planet on which the women have died and where the men in a peculiarity of the special new world hear the thoughts of those around them constantly need to be located near. As the film wants to implement that, without slipping into a schizophrenic murmur as an entertainment (which made the white noise such an intense experience), is one of the most exciting aspects of the expected filming of Chaos Walking for us.
The real plot , however, revolves around Todd Hewitt, who was born on the newly settled planet New World and in his settlement Prentisstown as the youngest inhabitant waiting to officially grow up with his next birthday. However, everything is different: Todd has to flee and is not only pursued by the mayor of his hometown, but also by a violent priest. The reason for the boy's escape is as unexpected as it is shocking for him: he met Viola , who is clearly a young woman outside the city - even though all women should have died out . Something is not right here so.
